Practice Module

Practice using the Special Education Matrices

Overview

Practice using the Special Education Matrices focuses on the essential role of using matrices to develop plans that will meet the needs of students with disabilities. Participants will examine how the Learning Goals, Adjustments, Instructional Strategies and Modifications Matrices support individualised planning, including challenges that may arise with ways to address these barriers. Mastery of using these matrices will enable educators to ensure instruction for each student is tailored to meet their particular needs and learning goals. This module will help participants take a systematic approach to the development of Individualised Plans through the identification of specific learning goals, adaptations and implementing instructional strategies and modifications that meet each student’s needs.
