If students struggle to say the rule, correct using ‘model, lead, test, re-test’.

The process involves the following:

Say; “Listen. If the teacher touches the floor, say yes. Say it with me.”

Say; “Your turn. Say the rule”.

“Listen. If the teacher touches the floor, say ‘yes'”.	Say it with me; “If the teacher touches the floor, say ‘yes'”. If the teacher touches the floor, say ‘yes’.	“Your turn; Say the rule”. ‘If the teacher touches the floor, say yes’.	Starting over. All responses down to where error was made and beyond.
