Tracks in the reasoning skills group include the following:

• Same-different
• True-false
• Can do
• Only
• Description
• Analogies
• Question and clues
• If/ then

The common features of these tracks include the following:

The exercises emphasise ‘problem-solving’ and involve relationships between objects and events, rather than a single feature of an object or event. To respond correctly, Students must understand and express relationships.

The instructions given to the Students are more complex and responses generally consist of complete statements.

The concepts used in the exercises have already been taught and are now applied to figure out the answers to problems.
