Script Success

‘Scripted lessons’ reduce lesson planning time. This means Teachers use the time to practice their delivery.

Practice is more than just reading over the script. The best way to practice is with a partner, who plays the part of the Student. If that is not possible, practice aloud, record yourself on a computer and listen to yourself.

Teachers need to be familiar enough with the script to make frequent eye-contact with students and know which words require ‘pause and punch’.

The script is delivered in a normal speaking tone, but the Teacher sometimes emphasises words through ‘pause and punch’, which draws Students’ attention to important points.
