RMSE 2–3 Overview

Students who complete RMSE 2 and RMSE 3 will have solid decoding skills, a relatively large reading vocabulary, and a good working knowledge of word meanings.

The most valuable skill gained by students is reading to learn. Students will be practised in learning new concepts and gleaning new information from texts that they read, rather than from discussions.

The ability to ‘read to learn’ empowers students to engage in various projects involving research and reading on a range of topics.
