Enables engagement with the community
In term four, principal Liam has a community engagement forum to share the school improvement data and discuss the successes, challenges and completion of the school team’s action plan over the year. Liam openly shares this data with the parents and community members and clearly explains the current school culture. He provides opportunities for forum participants to ask questions, offer ideas and suggest priorities.
Liam identifies new School Improvement Plan priorities and develops the action plan tasks to align with the data and community insights. He makes sure to include successful parent engagement strategies that the teaching team are employing and encourages the teaching team to keep parents updated on their classroom progress.

The parents and community feel acknowledged, involved and more open to guidance related to their children’s education. They know the school cares about their children and wants to support the improvement to further their child’s future goals.
