Improve educational outcomes for students

When the teacher or teaching assistant takes affirmative action to improve and refine their practice, the quality of the instruction and management of the classroom also improves. Improvements in effective teaching practice leads to better educational outcomes for students.

How it works

Guided by improvement action plans, professional conversations, observation feedback and data reviews, the teacher or teaching assistant can master effective teaching techniques and in turn teach students to mastery. Students are more engaged in their lessons, are provided opportunities to practise skills and master content. Effective teaching optimises learning and educational outcomes for students. Students can achieve mastery, make standard progress and potentially catch up.

It is important that teachers do not vary the techniques and practices, students understand what is expected when the school team use the same actions and perform them in the same manner.
