Level A–F

Student Workbooks

Spelling Mastery has a student workbook for each level.

Review the scope and sequence for different levels of the program on pages 20–26 of your Spelling Mastery Series Guide.

Level A

Level A has 60 lessons that take approximately fifteen minutes to teach.

They focus on phonemic and whole-word spelling strategies with some basic morphemic generalisations.

It has graded bonus activities every fifth lesson and an optional weekly test.

Level B

Level B has 120 lessons that take approximately fifteen to twenty minutes to teach.

Lessons focus on phonemic and whole-word spelling strategies with some basic morphemic generalisations.  

It has graded bonus activities every fifth lesson and an optional weekly test is also included.

Level C

Level C has 120 lessons that take approximately fifteen to twenty minutes.

Lessons focus on phonemic, morphographic and whole-word spelling strategies and transitions from phonemic to morphemic generalisations. 

There is a spelling test every fifth lesson.

Levels D–F

Levels D–F each have 120 lessons, each taking approximately twenty to twenty-five minutes.

Lessons focus on phonemic, morphographic and whole-word spelling strategies and emphasise morphemic generalisations.  

A spelling test is given every fifth lesson.
