The principal’s responsibilities

The principal is the visible leader of the school. They set the positive high-expectations culture and model it in all interactions with the school team, students, parents and community members.

The principal communicates a commitment to increased student learning. They ensure the teaching team is equipped to deliver effective teaching and motivate them to engage with improvement strategies. The principal also ensures that students and teachers have all the materials they need and that nothing interferes with the primary mission of the school. 

The ultimate goal of the school is the teaching and learning cycle occurring in every classroom, every day. The defining feature of each lesson is the delivery of effective teaching to every child.
