Placement Criteria

For both Sections of the Comprehensive Placement Test, the students’ grade dictates their placement module or whether they need a modular-specific Pre-skill Test. Corrective Mathematics placement directions (on pages 27–29 for Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division; and on page 30 for Basic Fractions, Fractions, Decimals and Percents, and Ratios and Equations) are used to help teachers place students accurately based on their total error count.
