Writing Curriculum Objectives

Writing lessons are specifically designed to:  

  • help students develop a functional understanding of grammar and punctuation as the building blocks of written English 
  • help students construct grammatically correct sentences of increasing complexity and fluency 
  • be accessible for students of diverse backgrounds 
  • align with the Australian Curriculum English. 

So that, across all year levels, we lift: 

  • student attainment of written English skills  
  • the fluency of student writing 
  • student foundational knowledge of grammar and punctuation  
  • student vocabulary and lexical knowledge 
  • the outcomes for students.
