All letters are identified as sounds.
All sounds except ‘I’ appear as lower-case letters.

Lessons 1 to 45
Students learn the sound combinations; ‘ar’, ‘al’, ‘ou’ and ‘ow’.

Lessons 40 to 52
Students learn the letter names for vowels.
The long vowels are presented without lines over them.

Lessons 67 to 81
The sound combinations ‘th’, ‘sh’, ‘ing’, ‘wh’, ‘ch’, ‘oo’, ‘qu’ and ‘er’ are unjoined.

Lessons 83 to 86
Students learn the letter names for all the lower-case letters.

Lessons 87 to 94
All the capital letters are introduced.

Lesson 85
By now, traditional print is introduced in reading vocabulary, storybooks and workbooks.

Lesson 94
Students read complete standard print.
