Identity statements corrections

The most common error in identity statement formats is responding with the whole statement when asked, ‘What is this?’. The error is corrected using model, test.

Model – Stop. My turn. What is this? A ball.

Lead – Say it with me.  What is this? A ball.

Test – Your turn. What is this?
Retest – 

Your turn. What is this? Now say the whole thing. Let’s do that over again.
