Object identification corrections

Errors in object identification can include:

  • responding before or after the signal.
  • incorrect answers.
  • omitting the word ‘a’ before the object.
  • All errors are corrected with model lead, test, retest.

The process is:

  • For signal errors (students respond before the teacher touches the picture or don’t respond immediately on the signal) the teacher reminds the students that they must respond right on signal and repeats the task.
  • If students misidentify an object, the teacher corrects the error with model, lead test, retest.
  • If students omit the word ‘a’ before the object, for example ‘dog’ instead of ‘a dog’,  the teacher corrects with model, lead, test, retest.
