Parts of a RMSE 4 – 5 Lesson

RMSE 4 – 5 lessons are divided into three parts: 

before reading, reading, and after reading.

Before Reading
Students prepare to read the textbook selection by studying lists of words, completing vocabulary exercises and developing comprehension strategies.

Reading
Students read the textbook selection orally and silently and answer oral comprehension questions.

After Reading
Students complete exercises in the workbook. Then they complete textbook activities and writing assignments. They also work on extension activities

Turn to pages 10 – 15 in RMSE 4 Teacher’s Guide. Look at the exercises contained in before reading, reading, and after reading segments.
