Module evaluation survey1 Topic

Word Practice
The word-practice exercises present words from the textbook selections. These words are organised into lists. Students practice reading the lists so they can read the words accurately in the textbook selections. The teacher directs students to read the words aloud and in unison.
There are three main types of words lists:
Hard Words
These words are difficult to decode. The teacher reads each word aloud and then the group reads the word.
Word Practice
These words are easy to decode. The group reads the word together.
Words with Similarities
The teacher explains the similarity and the group reads the words.

Turn to page 10 in ‘RMSE 4’ Teacher’s Guide. Notice the example of all three types of word lists. Exercise 1 is a hard words list, exercise 2 is a words with similarities list and exercise 3 is a word practice list.
