Provides Students with Valuable Practice

All students actively participate in exercises that require a group response. Using signals effectively provides a structure and routine for students to practise the skill or master the content. The appropriate signal is used throughout the exercise and students practise through repetition.

How it works:

Students responding as a group is more time-efficient than providing individual turns. All students respond to each question and therefore get more opportunities to practise. The students receive immediate feedback, and the teacher can make informed decisions about their teaching. They can repeat and reteach as necessary when errors are made.
