The School Team Celebrates Positive Outcomes: Scenario

Principal Callie is arranging a discussion with a peer school. Callie works with Instruction Coach Ben to collect data from across the campus. They identify successes in second grade reading and fourth grade maths in particular and prepare to share those with the team. As part of the presentation, they include images from each teacher’s classroom.
Callie and Ben share the successes with the peer school. The peer school’s principal wants to come observe. When he comes to observe, Callie shows him the second grade classroom and debriefs with the teacher so the principal can hear how the teacher achieved her results.

When Callie holds a school professional conversation, she notices that the teachers are eager to share their data and talk about successes and challenges. They are excited that their school had something to support another school.
