The School Team does not Build a Culture of Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

When the school team does not build a culture of collaboration around continuous improvement, teachers do not improve their teaching and students do not make advancements in learning.

The Problem is Compounded

The school team:

  • does not collaborate with the community on shared improvement goals, which would yield improvements for students
  • works in isolation rather than observing best practice and having professional conversations to reinforce the practice
  • works in isolation to improve their practice and are only concerned with their work and role at the school
  • does not use data to identify, analyse and evaluate areas for improvement within the school environment and do not involve parents and the community in their analysis of the school culture.
